UTM builder — tag your campaign URLs.

Build traceable campaign links: enter the destination URL, set source/medium/campaign and copy the tagged URL. In Google Analytics or Matomo you'll see exactly which channel brings visitors and leads. All in your browser.

Campaign URL

Always set utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign. Lowercase + hyphens keep reporting clean (values are case-sensitive in analytics).

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

01What are UTM parameters?

Additions to a URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and more) that tell analytics tools like Google Analytics or Matomo where a visitor came from. They let you measure the success of individual channels and campaigns.

02Which UTM parameters do I need?

Required: utm_source (source, e.g. newsletter), utm_medium (channel, e.g. email) and utm_campaign (campaign name). Optional: utm_term (keywords for paid ads) and utm_content (to tell variants/placements apart).

03Does capitalization matter?

Yes. Analytics counts “Newsletter” and “newsletter” as two different values. Stick to lowercase and hyphens to keep reporting clean.

04Should I use UTM parameters on internal links?

No. Don't use UTM parameters for links within your own site — they overwrite the original source and distort your reporting. UTM is meant for external campaigns.

05Are my inputs stored?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser — no server endpoint, nothing transmitted or stored.
